Laila Donatelli Vaz
Professional Pet Groomer
Originally from Brazil, I’ve been calling Calgary home since 2021. My journey in animal care began with a bachelor’s degree in Biological Sciences and a specialization in Wildlife Rehabilitation and Management — both earned in Brazil. I’ve always had a deep love for animals, which naturally led me to the world of grooming.
I completed my grooming course in 2015 and spent few years working as a bather and junior groomer in Brazil.
After living and working as bather in Sydney, Australia for two years — where I also earned a Certificate in Leadership and Management — I moved to Canada and further expanded my knowledge with a Veterinary Assistant certificate here in Calgary.
Since then, I’ve been working as a dog groomer for over four years, combining technical skill with genuine care for each pet I meet. I believe grooming should be a positive, gentle, and stress-free experience for every dog.
Outside the salon, I’m a travel lover (I’ve visited over 25 countries!) and proud dog mom to two playful Pomeranians, Luiggi and Nelson.
Carolina
Professional Pet Groomer
Carolina was born and raised in Brazil and has always been surrounded by animals. Since she was little, she loved spending time with horses and dogs. At 13, she was already doing barrel racing and helping her dad, who was a professional dog groomer, take care of dogs.
Her professional grooming journey started in 2015 when she took her first Junior Groomer/Bather course in Brazil. After that, she completed several specialization courses such as hand stripping, wire coat, and drop coat techniques. In 2016, she opened her own salon called Holy Land Dog Grooming, where she and her family had many fun years working with their loyal furry clients until the pandemic.
In 2023, Carolina moved to Canada with her husband and decided to keep doing what she loves most: working with dogs. With a gentle and patient approach, she’s been helping pets feel comfortable, happy, and looking their best.
